My husband has been after a job with a company that offers long term options and retirement benefits. This has been a process and a dream.
Today, he was finally offered the position. Yay!! Right. It means a lot of change though.
Instead of day shift.. he will go to nights. which means he'll miss dinners and night night. I know, millions of parents work nights. It is necessary for things to run etc. It is just a change. It means finding a new routine. Creating a new schedule. Figuring it all out.
As adults, we manage to make this change with minimal hissy fits. It is my kids, that I worry about. They are daddy's boys. They love quality time with daddy. I know they will still get it. It will just be early afternoons and such. I am expecting bad attitudes, push back, and tons of "when
is daddy coming home"
Anyone ever dealt with this kind of transition? I could really use some tips.
